Nobody on the -questions list could offer any ideas re this issue; maybe someone on -stable will have a clue. I've put all my local platforms on a KVM switch that has only a ps2 connection. On my main system, I was using a 3-button Logitech mouse; it was connected thru /dev/ttyd0. Now, going through the ps/2 port, the mouse barely works. Opening and closing xterms or other apps is iffy, so it cutting and pasteing. I'm running 4.4 and getting ready to move up to 4.6. Here are my Pointer settings from /etc/XF86Config: Section "Pointer" Protocol "SysMouse" Device "/dev/sysmouse" BaudRate 1200 Emulate3Timeout 50 Resolution 100 Emulate3Buttons EndSection And this is what the mouse daemon is doing. Running as -t auto or -t sysmouse seem to be equivalent. 1392 ??
