What version of RIP is it? > > If not, would gated do the trick? routed is evil, particularly for varying masks, even more so for busy dial-up connections where routing updates may be dropped. gated is somewhat better and if you must have dynamic routing, is probably the way to go. I use static routing around here with no problems. ... JG
