AFAIK, the ext2fs is not based on Rémy's code. I believe it's a ffs
rewritten with the ext2fs structures. From the original ext2fs code,
it apparently only uses the .h files and a few C routines.

That's probably why Rémy has no intention to be involved in this :-)
