I think Sun and many other distributions are chiming in that they WILL switch to postfix pretty soon, perhaps doing as jmb says and having both systems in place would be a good idea for a while, i'm sure if postfix gets a lot of bad press people will want it removed, but it's nice to have the latest and greatest, instead of a year later everyone whining about NOT having postfix in the base system.
