Many people have recommended DLT, which i can only support.

For those with less Euros (:-) available, let me add that i'm fairly
happy with my Tandberg drive.  It's 2.5 GB (+ compression), and should
be in the same price range as DDS.  The current technology for them is
4 GB native.  (There are larger MLT drives available as well, with a
similar technology to DLT, but they're more pricey.)
