Well, I am running FreeBSD ver. 2.0.5 on my AMD DX4-120 (Enhanced version)
without any processor related trouble. Note: I couldn't even boot LINUX,
but I don't know if that is a processor thing or not...

Maybe you haven't heard... NexGen was bought out by AMD(?) and is
discontinued.
