Here is a small program which kills both (linux) Sun JDK 1.3.x/1.4.x
Hotspot JVM, _and_ the (linux) IBM JDK 1.3.0 JVM.

The Sun JVMs will SEGV. The IBM JVM 'runs away' and is unreponsive to
anything but SIGKILL.
