August 1996 issue of SunExpert, "Ask Mr. Protocol", page 18 "Three different, fully runnabel versions of 4.4BSD are now available. NetBSD runs on multiple platforms, FreeBSD runs on Intel platforms and provides what is probably the most robust and capable TCP/IP stack in existence, and BSD/OS, also for Intel platforms, represents a vendor-supported commercial version of the system."
