Did you follow the instructions in the handbook to complete the configuration process?

XF86Setup is ONLY for XFree86 3.3.6, it WILL not  work with 4.x versions.

So doing all of this has done nothing, right? I would recommend that YOU do a LITTLE checking on the handbook, and I'll be nice and give you the url.
