I'm finding RELENG_4_3 to be a nice balance between the somewhat staleness
of a -RELEASE and the (at times) possible slight breakage of a -STABLE.

Production servers by nature are most concerned with security patches; they
don't need new bells and whistles because they're already up and doing
their job. The more that changes, the greater chance for problems.

It's between -RELEASEs that I'll generally evaluate new features/bugfixes
and decide if an upgrade is appropriate for my environment.

RELENG_4_3 is *almost* the -STABLE that I've been looking for. All I'd
like to see is perhaps critical bug fixes, without all the new features and
barrage of MFCs which are usually the cause of complaints. It's nice to
have choices as to the granularity of updates. -CURRENT -STABLE and
-RELENG_4_X (-PATCH?).

BTW: this viewpoint is from a stable server environment, I'm not suggesting
that -STABLE and friends should be depreciated. Each branch has its pros
and cons. Use whatever best suits your specific needs. Informed choices
are the key to success.
