Nope, I'm seeing this also on a machine compiled with CPUTYPE=i586. I filed a PR yesterday, with a fix that I'm not entirely sure about. :) Rebuilding that box without CPUTYPE takes >6 hours, but I'll try it anyway, and see if it solves this particular problem. Btw, is there any speedup to be noticed by setting CPUTYPE, or is it not yet really used much at the moment?
