It's our mkisofs program (well, Yggdrasil's but in our tree) that does
it! :_(

Yes, I've tried to fix it, but just try loking at that code sometime!
It's not fun! :-)

True enough, but consider all.tar.gz.  Can you really say that someone
grabbing it isn't _already_ pretty much in the market for all of them?

I don't see why it needs to!  all means all.  Am I the only one who
finds any added distinction somewhat strange and unnecessary?

I think it goes without saying that all those symlinks in all are
a total waste!
