My Z505JE works just fine. I don't believe these two VAIOs are terribly different. You might try pnp-os yes in the BIOS (the USB controller will work with today's cvsup). Also, make sure to get rid of any pcic0 stuff in your kernel.conf. The PCI stuff will do it for you.
