Since you have updated your ports tree today then you can NOT use  
portupgrade, because of a lot of new glib/gtk/gnome/etc have been  
committed (check in /usr/ports/UPDATING).

Anyway, I am not sure for gcompris2 problem so show us your full pkg_info.
