Eeew. (UNIX and "real hardware" bias :-)

Depending on what you are trying to do, FreeBSD makes a dandy
router. And there are vendors that will sell you interface cards to
connect WAN links up to T1 (at least).

Livingston also sells a router version of the PM.

If you tell us what you're trying to do, we might be able to be more
helpful.
