Seriously though, I know what you mean. A good friend of mine spent some time working in AIX shop. He desperately wanted to use perl to talk to their SyBase databases, but the (disorganized as hell) admin staff refused to use anything that did not come with a support contract. <mutters something about dense "IT" staff who aren't particularly qualified to wipe their asses> Alex G.
