Hi list,

i have installed the latest Samba here, and can access it from my W2K. I can
type \\freebsd\ in Explorer to access the FBSD-machine.

But how can i make FreeBSD use NetBIOS-names, so that commans like the one
below will work?

> ping winmachine

I want my FreeBSD to resolve names this way:

1.) /etc/hosts
2.) NetBIOS names (probably managed by Samba)
3.) DNS

How do i achieve this? Thx.
