Single mode ATM adapter costs about two or three times as MM adapter.
If this is the price you are going to pay, it should be normal.

I have four single mode adapter used since the ATM is out. However,
our 40 Multi-Mode adapters have been upgraded/changed for at least
2/3 times.  This just a fact to let you know the price is like that.
