Jeremy, if you want a version of the JDK you can install, make the
'release-images' target rather than the 'world' target.  This will create
some extra directories containing verrsions of the JDK or JRE.  Look in
the BUILD-RELEASE file for the exact directory names.

As for your display problems, please make sure you are using patchset 8.
The behaviour you are getting sounds like the behaviour for previous
patchsets.  Once you've done that, if the problems are still occurring then
please post the following details about the machine the _display_ is on:
Operating System, X version, Motif library details and Colour Display Depth.
