But since a two channel military grade GPS with key and generator is accurate to much less than a car width, I do think automated driver systems are feasible, and should probably be built. I'm happy to be lumped into the same category as DMR and the Plan9 "fanatics" in your book. When given the choice between evolutionary (with not much progress) and revolutionary (with not much grandfathering of obsolete crap), I *do* tend to pick revolutionary. Consider me a counterbalance.
