I was able to get the JBuilder debugging to work on FreeBSD 4.1 by following the steps at http://www.eyesbeyond.com/freebsddom/java/jpda.html and then going into the JPDA build directories and tweaking the make process to get the missing shared libraries to build. I did this a couple of months ago so the details are fuzzy. I am going to upgrade to FreeBSD 4.2 this week and will try to make another run at building the JDK. I can send the steps along after I do this if anyone is interested. It gets JBuilder to start, but none of the debugging functionality works unless you also have the appropriate shared libraries too. > I wonder why our JDK 1.2.2 build doesn't build the jdpa.jar file? Nate? Greg? Because JPDA isn't a standard part of JDK 1.2.2. Check the Solaris or Windows JDK 1.2.2 for instance. That said, expect it to be in the FreeBSD JDK 1.2.2 sometime soon. - Greg To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-java" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-java" in the body of the message
