FYI, I tried the patches at
http://people.freebsd.org/~imp/no-hang.diff.4 , set the
hw.pic.ignore_pcibios variable and still had no luck.  I wedged the
machine hard enough that I didn't get the logs, but I'm happy to try
again if you think that there's information in there that you need.

(In case this doesn't thread properly, I'm the fellow with the Fujitsu
C-5130 lifebook whose ethernet is getting assigned irq 9 instead of
some useful value which is wedging the machine.)
