This is different because you personally are running cc to do a particular task. This noise is emitted unnecessarily by automated tasks which are in the default system, which is more annoying for standard users, like me. There's a reason why I also do this in every system I run: $ svn diff etc/syslog.conf Index: etc/syslog.conf =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D --- etc/syslog.conf (revision 227492) +++ etc/syslog.conf (working copy) @@ -5,7 +5,7 @@ # separators.
