Sorry, it's because it is defined IS_INTERACTIVE.  I do an interactive
build once in a while, but most of the time I set BATCH (with 1,600+
ports now, that takes a long time already).  I haven't gotten around
to do an interactive build for a while.

IIRC it only asks some questions about the default CDROM drive, if you
can make the port do a check for PACKAGE_BUILDING or BATCH and supply
a reasonable set of defaults, it will be built automatically.
