Maybe I'm taking on too much at this time with kernel signals (fix julian's
problems), userspace signals and HotSpot. I am getting wierd pauses and I'm
curious if they're KSE related. If that's the case, then you'll see a
backport effort done by me.

True, but the review process doesn't excluded the backport effort itself.
