Just read the 5.0-RELEASE announcement, and was astonished to see the 
following in the list of features:

   - The GCC 3.2.1 compiler provides the latest installment of the
     ever-improving GNU Compiler Collection.

FreeBSD's dependency upon the FSF's code is a bug, not a feature, and 
should not be touted as the latter.
