I think Stallman has a tendency to go to extremes. If he had his way, nobody would be able to write proprietary software - it would be illegal. I think that's an extreme viewpoint. I think that there's room in the world for lots of different licensing models. Hell, if I properly understand what I've read from Stallman, he'd outlaw the BSD license if he could.
