On 2.2 it ejected.  But the sequence of events weren't so nice.

$ scsi -f ... 

lights start to blink

ncr0: command time out

ejects

ncr0: phase error

ncr0: timeout ccb=

$ mount /jaz

hangs ...

alt-f2.

Type for while and then no more response.
