It knows.  FreeBSD doesn't misassign resources already in use.  It
can't.  Sometimes pccardd will try and things will fail, but that's
pccardd's fault (which mihira-san has done something about).

dmesg will mostly tell you what's in use.  The information is in the
kernel, but there's no easy way to extract all of it.
