Brett! IN CASE YOU HAVE SOMEHOW MISSED IT! The desktop-design contest
was canceled for lack of participation. Nobody has stepped forward with
a nice set of packages that FreeBSD could use as a standard desktop. We
need a solid, utilitarian, yet good-looking desktop package to go with
our solid, utilitarian, yet usually graceful OS. Since it seems from
the lack of participation that nobody really wants to be the desktop
designer, it's yet one more task on the lengthy list of potential
improvements. Perhaps you'd like to form a team to take this one on.
