I just noticed something in make.conf ;

#COMPAT20=       yes
#COMPAT21=       yes
#COMPAT22=       yes
#COMPAT3X=       yes
#COMPAT4X=      yes

Does this mean none of the compat libs were built? Could this be a source of
problem if we have 3.x binaries still hanging around?
