Thanks for this explanation. It explains why that noise happened
at shutdown (soft reset) time and I believe it's not so important
any longer. I was trying to find a reason why my phone was blocked
while bisdn was running. Normally I don't phone while my
computer is rebooting from that 'BROKEN_KEYBOARD_RESET' motherboard :-)
(which doesn't boot in either mode, probably time to replace it
anyway since situations where you have to send someone into the 
cellar to push the reset button even if it's my wife or perhaps
even more when it's my wife aren't joyful anyway :-> )

Now I tested the same setup (though with the Fritz card now since
I'm not finally sure whether my creatix is OK) and I find that my ISDN
phone works as it should in parallel with i4b being active.
