This is very often the case in my experiences as well, and has, in some
cases, been the reason a company might want NT in the first place (let's
not go there).

This is an excellent point - and I know that from my standpoint, access to
the server from anywhere on a floor or in a building (the way I depend on
telnet) would be a great selling point.
