Maybe so, but I have the latest JadeTeX port and the copy on
www.freebsd.org has the same problem.  Or do you mean that the port
has to be updated?

     This is easy to fix with a new version of JadeTeX.  See the list
   archives for the DocBook-apps mailing list.
