The usual way: "Better safe than sorry" prohibits from those nasty (and unnecessary) bugs. Maybe you want to search the question@freebsd.org archive around 2002/10/29 for samba. Ok, if you re-read my first and second mail, I wrote 2 things: 1st: The guy who requests support on german mailing list use php in cgi mode. 2nd: The bug-url I sent to you relies on www/mod_php-4.3.2 what is the port before you :-) That one includes php-cli, too. So I keep the suggestion for optional '--with-regex=system' alive :-) Best, Jens PS: Is there any reason why you didn't cc port@ and nork@ as I suggested?
