This is a question to mail gurus (but maybe not just to them):

My goal is to set up majordomo server on my FreeBSD 2.0-950412 box. It will
be a dedicated machine, i.e. no other stuff will be running there except
sendmail, at least for now.

I'm talking to Internet through a gateway. The filtering on this gateway is
currently set up so that it only listens to my machine on the port 25. My
FreeBSD machine is also open for FTP and Telnet sessions but only for
several internal (local) hosts.

QUESTION: Do I need any other ports open on the gateway in order to send the
mail in and out?

Right now, I can't do it.
P.S. my machine IS connected to our DNS server and recognizes the outer
mailhosts correctly, it just seems to be unable to connect to them. Thanks
for any advice. I'm not currently subscribed to majordomo-users list, so
please respond directly.
