The latest pcemu (still crawling towards a 'real' 2.0 release) is actually
quite a bit better than the old 1.0 in the ports collection.

Sean was working on a 2.1.6 system, so I would think that you wouldn't
have too much trouble fitting his patches to your kernel.  Just be aware
that they _don't_ work properly, and unexpected things can wedge your
system tight.
