I think the bundle arrangement sounds good, if only because it puts the burden of responsibility on someone else. :) I know, however, that when I order a system, I specifically order parts I know will work well with FreeBSD. In a sense, the machine is designed for FreeBSD then. It would be pretty neat to see hardware vendors sticking up a little Beastie saying, "Runs with FreeBSD" -- DPT, for example.
