This isn't a "port with multiple versions". It has one. There is no need to
cram the version number in the directory name.

... because we don't put version numbers in the names unless there is more
then one version that people care about (netscape, emacs, XFree86). Other
examples of this problem are: mysql322-* and apache13.

If the intent was to retire v6 and live on with v7, then we should have
had postgresql-devel or some such. The next time this came around (v8?)
we could have revived (or if peter already cleaned it, remake) postgresql-devel
and again retire it when -devel==mainstream.

I can import ethereal0_8_11 when I upgrade, and then delete ethereal, but
that goes against the spirit of the port as well. This is also the reason
why I chose "postfix-current" and not "postfix-20000531".

I think Garrett said it the best (paraphrasing): the program's name is
postgresql, not postgresql7.
