Just because there is a Linux install somewhere within *.microsoft.com means very little. www.microsoft.com is NT, and always has been NT. That is a known fact. hotmail is not exclusively Solaris. They use a FreeBSD and Solaris mix. This is well known too, and Microsoft has stated this publicly several times.
