Ahh OK, you should do:

burncd -f /dev/acd0a devrw data_1.iso 

to burn an image on there...

If the media isn't formatted yet you need to do

burncd -f /dev/acd0a format dwd+rw

in order to use it at all..

BTW 'man burncd' will tell :)
