I'm in Compaq. We're packaging up a Netscape kit for Alpha Linux that includes some libraries and a loader from Tru64. And we hope to release that very soon. We will try to do the same thing for FreeBSD. The other option is Mozilla. I know that the latest milestone works on Alpha Linux. /maurice -----Original Message----- From: Tom Lehman [mailto:tlehman@east.isi.edu] Sent: Wednesday, January 19, 2000 4:59 PM To: freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Netscape and Linux Emulation Question I have FreeBSD 4.0-20000101-CURRENT installed on a Compaq XP1000 Alpha Workstation. When trying to install netscape navigator from /usr/ports, it fails saying that the port is only for i386. Is there a navigator port for the Alpha? Also, should I expect that Linux emulation to work in under this configuration? I did not see a way to load the Linux KLD object for this distribution.
