I'm in Compaq. We're packaging up a Netscape kit for Alpha Linux that
includes some libraries and a loader from Tru64. And we hope to release that
very soon. We will try to do the same thing for FreeBSD. The other option is
Mozilla. I know that the latest milestone works on Alpha Linux.

Subject: Netscape and Linux Emulation Question

I have FreeBSD 4.0-20000101-CURRENT installed on a Compaq XP1000 Alpha
Workstation.

When trying to install netscape navigator from /usr/ports, it fails
saying that the port is only for i386. Is there a navigator port for
the Alpha?

Also, should I expect that Linux emulation to work in under this
configuration? I did not see a way to load the Linux KLD object for
this distribution.

Thanks!
