Hi all, I'm having trouble booting freebsd-alpha-4.5 from IDE on a PC164 using the integrated IDE controller. I was able to boot from a floppy and install just fine, but when I try to boot the installed system it just says: -cut- jumping to bootstrap code Loading /boot/loader Can't open file /boot/loader halted CPU 0 -cut- What I tried last was that I wrote the boot.flp to the drive directly and tried to boot, but results were the same. Has anyone had similar problems or is anyone booting from IDE on a PC164? -jake -- Jarkko Santala <jake@iki.fi> http://www.iki.fi/jake/ System Administrator Cell. +358 40 720 4512 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
