FreeBSD 4.8 will *not* work on the machine, to the best of my knowledge.  It 
doesn't properly support multiple hoses (I/O busses). FreeBSD 5.0 and later 
will work fine, IME. You need to choose the option to load additional modules 
from Sysinstall, and then load the 'mlx' module. I'll try to find my notes on 
what I did to get the one I had working.
