I'm having trouble getting my MySQL server root password to "stick." After installing through ports, I run mysql_install_db which gives me two commands to set the root password through mysqladmin. I do this and all is well. I can login as root with no problems. After a reboot however, the I can't get in. Any ideas? Stew
