Remember that the ports tree is not installed by default. I would
imagine that all tarballs come from a distfiles directory, but it _is_ a
mystery as to why it couldn't find things.

In all of this, I'm not trying to belittle the job the ports maintainers
do, I just want to understand it and fix it if possible.
