I've been doing some reading on compilers for ia64 EPIC (see my list below). I think I'm starting to understand just how hard it is to get a compiler to squeeze the most of ia64. I cannot find any paper on compiler development for ia64 later than 2005. Has anybody got a link to a later development? Also, is Gelato (aka IMPACT, OpenIMPACT - http://www.gelato.org, http://gelato.uiuc.edu) dead? many thanks anton http://ertos.nicta.com.au/publications/papers/Gray_CCMH_05.abstract Charles Gray, Matthew Chapman, Peter Chubb, David Mosberger-Tang, and Gernot Heiser, "Itanium - A System Implementor's Tale," USENIX Annual Technical Conference, April 2005. http://impact.crhc.illinois.edu/ftp/conference/isca04-sias.pdf Field-testing IMPACT EPIC Research Results in Itanium 2 John W.
