Thanks to hints from Wilco Bulte, Scott Gasch, and Martin ???, plus a few
printfs sprinkled liberally about .../pci/if_de.c, I've determined that
this particular Linksys EtherPCI LAN Card II that I have wants the ed0
driver, not the de0 driver as the Handbook and FAQ suggest.

I also now know why the de probe doesn't print out a message when the
probe fails. Which is not to say that I think that's good. On the
contrary, I think it's bad. C'est la vie.

Anyway, the Handbook and FAQ should be updated.
