...though it wouldn't help you much, either. :-) mount_msdos will take
care to load the LKM if it's not a static filesystem.  That's how i
use msdosfs on machines where i need it, and that (the mismatch
between the kernel and the LKM) is also what started this thread, not
the msdosfs brokeness per se.
