You're confusing the 3c905b with the 3c509b.
The 3c509b is the ISA EtherLink III card.
The 3c905b is the PCI (Fast) EtherLink XL which has been giving everyone
trouble.

Is the 3c905b supported in 2.2.7? The release notes don't say anything
about it.
